Saskia, trained at the Glasgow School of Art, comes from a family of artists. Her mother is a painter and her uncle an architect. She has always been interested in home interiors and flirted with the idea of becoming an architect or interior designer but she kept returning to her first love; fabrics. Saskia spends her inspirational time looking at exotic plants and animals wherever she can find them. One can see them in the vibrant colours, shapes and textures in her work.

The ottomans here are completely designed by Saskia and are one of a kind. Made from cotton velvet, they are embroidered free-hand on a sewing machine with the cloth held in a hoop. The frames are made of plywood and the legs are her design as well.
