Barbara
creates all her objects from recycled goods. She is very concerned
about the environment and says that anything that is made well once
should have another chance and another life. She makes all her paper
at the kitchen sink thus the name of her company.
So
much of the earth's resources go into making milk cartons that they
should certainly be used again. Barbara creates her outdoor lanterns
from recycled dryer sheets used as light panels, the beads come
from a beaded car seat cover and the glass candleholders are old
jam or baby food jars.
Barbara's
lanterns are very durable and give off great light. Even if they
get wet, they will shrink back into place as they dry.
Barbara's
makes recycled paper from junk mail, her daughters old cotton socks
(which makes the paper soft), old onion skins, banana peels
etc.
The note cards contain parsley, sage, rosemary and thyme seeds and
can be planted in the spring as is. Her paper boxes are designed
for the gift-wrap challenged with the ribbon glued on.
The
picture frames are made from old fence boards.
