"If you're going to do it, do it right." So says Brian who has been making furniture for 22 of the 25 years that this family has been in the pine furniture business. He feels that furniture is not made like it used to be made so, he makes his tables chairs to last forever.

The table that he provided us is a combination desk/kitchen table designed it with drawers in the sides to save space. It is made with pine taken from a 125-year-old barn, which gives it tremendous character. The holes in the wood are caused by nails pounded in during its barn days and have to be removed very carefully because they are often brittle and break off inside. Brian calls it 'performing surgery' because it is so labour intensive. The Shaker style legs are attached with mortise and tenon joints.

Brian is proud to create furniture that will long outlast him.

This pine Open Dish Dresser has a top shelf that is designed to display dishes. It is a mid to late 1800 reproduction and traditionally carried the family's fine china.

Brian has constructed it with pegged mortise and tennon joints, which took about 40 hours to build. He has finished it with his own secret polyurethane mix designed to bring out the old pine finish look.
