Murray and Jordan have been best friends since they were 16. Jordan
has been a graphic artist and Murray worked at Ikea. Murray started
doing a bit of interior design work during which he made a huge mirror
for a client from old tin ceiling tiles removed from the ceiling of
the house. Everyone loved the mirror and a new business was happily
and accidentally born. Murray and Jordan made more objects with the
old tin and, when they couldn't find any more, they began experimenting
with distressing new tin. It took a full year to find a process that
would allow the tin to rust and look old but not continue rusting
ultimately damaging the newly painted areas.
Murray
and Jordan have collectively acquired over 50 stitches and several
tetanus shots over the years. They wear gloves a lot more often
now.
The
coat rack utilizes a reproduced stars and stripes design originally
found in an old Texas courthouse.
