Ian designs and builds sets for the stage and is also an avid gardener and furniture maker. He designed the trellis and arbour for his own garden incorporating copper with western red cedar in an unusual and original design. Ian created the curve for the trellis by cutting and bending thin pieces around a curved shape, gluing each piece in place.
